Mission

The centre was set up by the community of Igombe village in order to collect, organize and store reading materials for all categories of users. The facilitators of the centre organize activities aimed at eradicating illiteracy. By providing education and training they hope to enhance practical skills and help users gain knowledge which can help them combat poverty in their lives.

 Objectives

The main objectives of the centre are to:

• Assist the disadvantaged rural community by providing education and resources.
  
• Create a central place of learning in the community that can be utilized by the thousands of students living in the Jinja district
• Facilitate information sessions on key areas of concern to engage the community in constant learning and self-development
